Denali Capital President Scott Husband has over 30 years of experience as an investment professional guiding individuals, corporations, and non-profits to make positive investment decisions.
Scott began his career in 1976. In early 1977, Scott was one of 4 individuals that brought to Fairbanks it's first national brokerage firm. During the years 1980-1984, Scott lived in Dallas, Texas where he worked in a small New York firm specializing in natural resource equities. In April 1984, Scott and his family returned to Alaska to re-join the office he helped open. Over the past 20 years Scott has specialized in managing portfolios desiring risk adverse positioning. Scott has primarily managed corporations, non-profits, and high net-worth households. Scott’s success qualified him for Morgan Stanley’s Presidents Club for 12 years as well as the title of Senior VP of Investments. Scott was consistently ranked in the top 100 of 12,000 fixed income brokers.
Scott Graduated from San Jose State in 1976 after attending Santa Clara University. Scott holds the series 65 certification. Scott has been a resident of Fairbanks since the mid 1970’s, granting him an understanding of Alaska’s unique economy and lifestyles.

Heather Husband
Heather Husband joined Denali Capital in 2003. She was born and raised in Fairbanks, graduated from Monroe High School in 1995 and the University of Cincinnati in 2000.
Heather established herself as a successful commercial property manager in Washington, D.C. for three years before being offered a significant promotion in commercial real estate that would require her to move to Louisville, Kentucky. She instead decided to return with her experience and skills to Fairbanks, to assist her father in opening Denali Capital Management.

Mark G. Simpson
Investment Advisor Representative
Mark joined Denali Capital Management in 2006. While providing investment advice for our clients, his responsibilities include Business Development and Allocation Strategy. Working with Scott, he will develop, review, and exploit emerging investment opportunities for our clients.
Mark brings 16 years of financial services experience to the firm, including over 10 years with the Fairbanks office of Morgan Stanley managing assets for businesses, households and organizations throughout Alaska. His goal-oriented asset allocation approach to investing is perfectly consistent with the Denali Capital philosophy.
Mark received his education in Economics and Business through Gustavus Adolphus College, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Alaska. He has obtained the Series 7, 63, and 65 certifications. A 29-year Alaskan, Mark resides with his family in Ester, where he responds as a lieutenant with the Ester Volunteer Fire Department.
